Client: Xerjoff Perfumes.
Project type: cover and layouts.
Role: art direction, design.
Type of publication: perfumes, art and design magazine.
Frequency: quarterly.
Year: 2015-19.
Background: Xerjoff is an Italian luxury brand offering distinctive
fragrances composed of the finest ingredients, in exquisite
packaging. I have been art directing and designing covers and page
layouts of this quarterly publication since 2014. The magazine
has 160 pages filled with articles about perfumes, music,
design, art and fashion. It is translated from Italian into
English and Russian.
Challenge: to balance the brand's luxurious image with widespread audience
appeal. Crafting sophisticated aesthetics that captivate readers requires attention to translation and
cultural nuances. Each issue
must produce visually stimulating layouts that embody the essence of diverse themes—ranging from
perfumes to art and design—while ensuring creativity keeps the content fres
Objective:
the primary objective is to elevate the Xerjoff brand through high-quality, visually appealing
magazine covers and layouts that reflect the brand's artistry and distinctive fragrances. Each issue aims
to create an immersive experience, inviting readers into the luxurious world of Xerjoff.
This involves developing a
cohesive design language that resonates with luxury lifestyles and highlights the passion for perfumes, art,
and culture. Importantly, the magazine pages will include beautiful photography and illustrations, alongside well-written
articles that engage and inform readers.
